Hello Duelists!

New Design

We now have a brand new website design to complement the recent update to our Deckbuilder / Card Library! You will find a stylized home page, updated menus, improved navigation for easier access to every relevant section (About, Rules, Yugioh Scrolls, etc.), new sidebar elements, quick story links and even a dark mode, among other things. All of these are now features of our little hub on the internet, so i hope you enjoy this new presentation.

What Comes Next?

Honestly, I’ve been losing a bit of steam in the second and third quarters of the year after a very promising start. The optimistic roadmap that i had set in place is already wrong haha, but these things happen specially in a hobby project like this. That said, we are still getting there!

1 - 10th Set

We are still finishing the Millennium Chapter with the upcoming release of the 10th set, but it’s been a difficult one to work so it’s taken me a lot more than others. The next set (which marks the end of the Yugioh Scrolls adaptation of Yugioh DM) will be the last set of the year, and the last in a while, as i want to move my time and energy to other tasks related to the project instead of card design.

2 - Rules Adjustments

We have a big set of changes related to terrains that i discussed back in february, so that’s a priority, and will involve retroactively changing/balancing cards. It’s a good time to do it once the 10th set is released.

3 - Simulator

Afterwards, i want to work once again in our standalone simulator, which hopefully will be the main way of playing this game online, as we will slowly phase out the Tabletop Simulator Mod. Personally I always prefer to play this game in its physical form but i understand the need and desire to also have a proper digital way of playing.

4 - Story

At the same time as i work on the simulator, i will also be working on continuining the Yugioh Scrolls storyline. After some discussion in the community, we decided that it was best to branch out with all the other series instead of following one with every set release, so i have to map them all out.

I will be working on the story without releasing their companion cards and duels, so hopefully at least the mapping and writing process will be way quickier than what we had until now, for the story at least.

And that’s it for now, those are the main topics to be worked now that we have the website updated and the new Card Library. I don’t want to make a timeframe, but just wanted to let you know where are we and where are we going with this project.
